Sprinting
Sprinting is running flat out over a very short distance, 60 to 100 m, under 15 seconds. It builds top speed, power and a better stride.
- Recovery is long and complete: 2 to 3 minutes of walking, so each sprint is as fast as the first.
- 6 to 8 sprints are enough; stop when your speed drops.
- Warm up well first (easy running, drills, progressive strides): sprinting puts a lot of load on the hamstrings and calves.
Don’t confuse it with intervals, which are longer and less intense, with short recoveries. In Kadence, Sprint mode times each sprint and measures your top speed.
