The basics
Strides
Strides are 4 to 6 runs of 80 to 100 m where you gradually speed up to a fast but relaxed pace, then slow down. You recover by walking or jogging back.
- Do them at the end of an easy run, once or twice a week.
- They improve your stride and speed without tiring you, and prepare you for fast sessions.
They aren’t sprints: stay smooth and relaxed.
